How to use WhatsApp (UPI) Unified Payment Interface on Android and ios?

The WhatsApp Payments based on the Unified Payment Interface (UPI) of India are already available for some users on iOS and Android. The long-awaited feature will allow users to send and receive money directly through WhatsApp Messenger. However, it does not appear that the service is compatible with merchant payments. The peer-to-peer UPI payment function has been incorporated for the Android and iOS versions of the application. WhatsApp was doing beta tests for the Payments function in the Android version of the application.

However, at the moment, not all users will see the option of Payments in the application reflected. However, the function is activated after someone with the Live Payments function for them, sends messages to the user. After receiving a message, the other user must restart the application and Payments will be reflected in the WhatsApp configuration. In our case, the payments are now running on iOS and Android, just try this method.

Payments in WhatsApp will appear in the configuration. It will be based on the UPI of India to allow direct bank transfers. WhatsApp seems to have partnered with the ICICI Bank to facilitate UPI payments. Users must accept the terms and conditions and verify their mobile number again through SMS to activate UPI. The list of banks admitted to UPI is quite complete. Popular banks such as HDFC, Axis, ICICI, SBI, Yes Bank, Allahabad Bank, Punjab National Bank, etc. They are in the list.

How to activate WhatsApp payments to send and receive money.

Go to Payments in WhatsApp> Settings. To make use of the function, click on the three points in the upper right corner. A drop-down menu will appear, click on the configuration of it. Once the configuration tab is opened, a payment option will be visible. By clicking on these payment options, the user can accept the terms and conditions and verify the corresponding mobile number before adding the details of the bank account.

In addition, the payment function is also accessible in individual chats. For Android users, the option is available in the attachment function. IOS users can access it using the plus option.

UPI works by verifying the mobile phone number with which your bank account is linked. So make sure that the mobile phone has the SIM for the same mobile phone number. This mobile phone number must also be the same for your WhatsApp account.

Once the mobile phone number has been verified, the list of supported banks will appear. Choose the bank with which you have an account and where UPI is activated. The details of the bank account must appear with the last four digits of the reflected account. Choose the bank account that you want to add to UPI in WhatApp. Users must enter the last six digits of their debit card number along with the expiration details to create a Virtual Beneficiary Address (VPA).

Now to send money, go to a chat with anyone, even in a group chat. Touch the + symbol for the attachments and you will see Payments. If the other person has Payments enabled, the function will work. In a group chat, users can choose an individual member of the group to whom they wish to send the money. If the other user does not have the WhatsApp payments, the application will notify him of the same. The other user must also activate Payments.
